Thank God for a wonderful Minister’s Convention, held Saturday October 13, 2007, at The Church of God in Elizabethtown, KY!!

Friday night all available ministers gathered for a banquet hosted by the local church and Brother and Sister Jernigan. A great meal was put together by Sister Vickie Morriss and all her helpers, and truly everyone was bl;essed. One need only take a look at the smiles on the faces of the people in pictures of the banquet to see that great food, fun and fellowship were enjoyed by each and every attendee. Many thanks to those who made the event possible, and to our great God who blesses His people with such sweet times of togetherness.

The Convention began Saturday morning and was blessed from start to finish with a great feeling of unity, and of the presence of the Holy Ghost! Friends, as we think back over every Regional event of the last year, we can see how that God has blessed each new gathering of The Church of God more than the one before it. There has been a steady increase of power and of unity in every session of every convention. Thank God for His Divine favor! This meeting was no different. With about 48 in attendance, we gathered to worship the Lord, and to get a boost, a shot in the arm, as we head into the new year of work in God’s great vineyard.

Along with spirited boosts from every Auxiliary leader, we heard powerful messages from Brother Kevin Brown, our Regional Overseer Brother Paul Jernigan, and the special guest speaker Brother Michael Jernigan, pastor of Truman, Arkansas. Every boost challenged us to further the work, and every message instructed us from the Word of God how we may do just that.

Thank God for a great Minister’s Convention, and may He continue to richly bless this region as we endeavor to serve Him to the fullest.
